Attachment Parenting

When Sabrina was born, Adam and I did what came naturally to us.  We decided that a natural birth with a midwife was the best option for us and it was a truly rewarding experience.  The way we parented seemed to follow that vein...we responded to Sabrina intuitively rather than by what we were told or what we read.  I happened upon a website that described our style of parenting as Attachment Parenting.  We did not know it had a name, but it was nice to find a wealth of support about the way we parent.  Attachment Parenting can be best understood by breaking down it's various components of extended breastfeeding with child-led weaning and nursing on demand, flexible sleeping arrangements, responding to baby's cues, and traveling as a father-mother-baby unit and wearing your baby.
